Marjan Mozetich is one of Canada's most performed Canadian composers of Classical music and the recent 2010 Juno is most deserved. The award recognizes the superb recording that the Penderecki String Quartet made of Marjan's work, "Lament In The Trampled Garden," which is a beautifully evocative piece that builds to some wonderful climaxes. The piece is richly lyrical and dramatic. Over the years Marjan has composed many works for strings and this recording can be found on a CD devoted entirely to some of his chamber music.
